Who this is for

OutfitterHQ is for people who rent named units across real staging points — boats on lakes, Sea-Doos on docks, sled teams at lodges, snowmobiles or ATVs at trailheads — not “4 at 10 AM” as anonymous inventory.

Saying who we aren’t is part of the product. If this page filters you out, that’s a win for both of us.

Ideal customer

You run a rental or tour outfit (often with packages or gear) where:

  • Units are named assets (hull codes, sled names, machine numbers), not interchangeable slots
  • You stage them at more than one lake, dock, lodge, or trailhead — or you will next season
  • Demand arrives by phone and walk-in first; online booking is a channel, not the business
  • Someone answers at 7 AM and needs to say yes without walking to a pencil wall
  • Deliveries, pickups, and shuttles between lakes are real cost (fuel, time, staff)

We built it with canoe / kayak / SUP shops first. The same logistics job shows up for Sea-Doo and PWC rentals, dog-sled and mushing outfits, snowmobile caches, and ATV / UTV fleets. If none of those names fit, setup and Settings → Business have Other — you type the words.

Geographic center of gravity today: Ontario / Canadian Shield outfitting. Examples in this handbook stay dock-local (George Lake, Bell Lake, Killarney-class ops) even as we expand.

Who uses it day to day

RoleWhat they care about
Buyer (owner / GM)Double-books, delivery hours, “where is that Prospector.” Sets up in April; touches Settings twice a season.
Day user (senior staff)Phone at the shop or dock. If they can check the weather app, they can use OutfitterHQ.
Guest (secondary)Books on your link. Sees your brand. We stay quiet except for clear fees and payment trust.

Jobs we win on

Who this is not for

Be honest with yourself:

  • You only need anonymous time-slot inventory (headcount × hour) with no named hulls — guest booking platforms are built for that
  • You need a discovery marketplace today as your only lead source — we ship the wall first; bringing you guest traffic is later, not now (roadmap)
  • You’re a pure guided trip company with no rental fleet logistics

If a guest booking platform already feels like it was built for your customers instead of your dock — you’re probably us.
