Docks have bad reception. Put-ins eat LTE. If your scheduling tool needs a perfect bar of signal to show who’s on the water, it was designed for an office — not a launch.
Argument: offline continuity is part of the product for field staff, not a future polish item you can ignore until September.
What we aim for
- Grid stays readable from cache on the device
- You can keep working through the morning; changes queue
- Back online, sync catches up and the status tells you where you stand

Limits, honestly
Offline is for continuity, not a permanent second source of truth. Two people editing the same booking disconnected will need a reconcile when sync lands. Don’t treat the phone as gospel forever without reconnecting.
Deep replica sync continues to evolve. Treat field use as “keep the wall readable and keep taking work,” then reconcile on signal.
