Hull condition & damage history

Optional module (Settings → Advanced → Modules). Off by default. When on, you get return condition with photos, fleet out-of-service controls, and a per-hull timeline — without changing the one-tap “all good” return path.

What you get

  • ReturnMark all returned still means everything is GOOD. Report a problem opens per-hull condition (Good / Damaged / Missing), notes, and photos (damaged/missing only). Damaged or missing puts that hull into maintenance.
  • Out of service — on the Fleet list and on each hull’s detail page. Back in service clears it. Both write to the hull timeline.
  • Hull timeline — open a hull from Fleet (or from a booking’s boat list). Returns, maintenance toggles, and optional pre-trip notes show newest first, with staff and booking links when present.
  • Pre-trip note — on Start trip, optional “Note issue on hull” for a rare problem spotted before departure. Does not block starting the trip.

Photos

Photos upload to private storage and display through the app (signed for your session). They need a network signal — condition can still sync offline; photos wait until you’re back online. Requires BLOB_READ_WRITE_TOKEN on the server.

Limits, honestly

  • No damage billing or auto-charge yet — the timeline can later link a payment.
  • Departure inspection is optional notes only, not a required photo pass.
  • Guest-facing photo upload is not supported.
